2011 - Wisconsin Historical Markers
The
2011 annual Chapter
Challenge is to ride to as many of Wisconsin's documented Historical Markers as
possible. The Historical Markers Database www. hmdb.org reports there are 1121 historical markers in Wisconsin as of March, 2011
Scoring for points is easy. We follow Harley Owners Group ABC's of Touring rules for the most part. Take a picture of your bike in front of a Wisconsin Historical Marker and include a 2011 issue of HOG Magazine in the image. Collect as many Historical Makers as you can and at the end of the riding season present your collection of pictures to Bill McKeever our Head Road Captain for scoring. The winner receives a plaque permanently recognizing the accomplishment as well as all of the bragging rights that go along with.

Offical markers found, but not included in the HMDB database are eligible for the Challenge.
Some Historical Markers in the HMDB database may not be accessible by motorcycle. Accuracy of the database is unknown. Markers may have been removed from their noted locations. Happy riding and happy hunting!
